about
SLOW MOTION GUNFIGHTS is our love letter to John Woo & Chow Yun-Fat, delivered on the back of a dove exploding from an oil barrel filled with fireworks. It's also about getting older, which is what all of us are doing all the time!
Slow Motion Gunfights is free to download. Enjoy!
lyrics
TELL ME
My lines are distinguished, like I'm in control
TELL ME
The sadness I carry is the same that you hold
TELL ME
We got this, we're heroes, we'll never grow old
WHY CAN'T
You make me feel better at the cost of your soul
And all I wanted from you
Was to be friends
Slow motion gunfights
Partners to the end, now
Each broken window bears the miracle of flight
The more that I describe it to you, baby
The less that I can focus on the fight
TELL ME
Your lines are corrupt, set in deep by the cold
TELL ME
The sadness I carry's something I have to own
TELL ME
We had this, we lost it, and now we're too old
I TRIED
To make you feel better and it cost me my soul
And all I wanted from you
Was to be friends
Slow motion gunfights
Partners to the end, now
Each broken window bears the miracle of flight
The more that I describe it to you, baby
The less that I can focus on the fight
And the tequila that my name was predicated
Has made me oversensitive to light
Though the time that we spent doesn't have to be over
There's a limit to the weight I can keep on my shoulders
The best on the force and the worst takin' orders
Let's pick up what we can, make a break for the border.
And all I wanted from you
Was to be friends
Slow motion gunfights
Partners to the end, now
Each broken window bears the miracle of flight
The more that I describe it to you, baby...
I'll take you to service
Only if they're doing work
Benches reupholstered
Explosive in the church spire
Doves surround us as we storm into the night
We barely have the time to shield a baby
As we dive out through the window towards the light
We abseil through the fire with reckless fury
Take on fear to stand for what was right.

Probably the one album I can't stand to skip anything. Phantom Racer? Man goes to a racetrack and eliminates the other racers. Take Care of U? Sweet song of two people wanting to provide for each other. Pets? A sad yet still happy song of surrendering a beloved pet to whatever is after this life. Maximum Thrust? Mankinds evolution and our desire to explore the stars. Life Party? We're lucky to be alive, and should make the most of it regardless of the difficulties we face. Pure bangers. legofsonic
